Are you looking to get moving this summer? Why not join #TeamICM and take part in one of Ipswich’s exciting sporting challenges.

Why get involved?

Get active

With a growing focus of our work on health and wellbeing, these sporting challenges are the perfect match for ICM. They’re not just about fundraising for us, but a great opportunity to get active and enjoy the outdoors this summer.

Challenge yourself

There’s nothing like a challenge to motivate you, feeling the sense of achievement when you hit that target! Whether you’re trying to walk 3 miles or cycle 50, there’s a challenge out there for everyone and we’ll be cheering you on.

Do good locally

ICM has been working for over a decade to support communities in Ipswich through education, creativity, youth projects, and cultural celebration. From music sessions with young people to English classes for displaced communities, ICM helps people find their voice, their confidence, and their community.

The Events:

Tour De Suffolk

Sunday 10th May 2026

Tour De Suffolk is a charity cycling event run by The Rotary Club of Ipswich Wolsey. Open to people of all ages and abilities with routes ranging from 25 to 75 miles. Starting and finishing at Ipswich Rugby Club, the three scenic routes pass through villages and towns in picturesque Suffolk – not just an exercise challenge, but a lovely day out too!

We are incredibly grateful to be one of the The Rotary Club of Ipswich Wolsey’s Charities of the Year alongside Sound On. This means not only could you support us through individual sponsorship, but just by taking part in the event you’ll be directly helping ICM grow.

The Orwell Challenge

Sunday 28th of June 2026

From a 3 mile walk to a 55K ultramarathon, The Orwell Challenge has something for everyone! Following a route around the Orwell estuary, it’s an opportunity to get outdoors, appreciate the beautiful countryside, and set yourself a challenge whatever your fitness level or experience.

Last year, despite the scorching heat, #TeamICM absolutely smashed their combined 50 mile target. Could you help us beat that target again this year?

Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon

Sunday 27 September 2026

Come rain or shine the town will be out in force, cheering you on as you run this 21K through the very heart of Ipswich.

Last year we were overjoyed to have Henry run for ICM. Here's what he had to say about why he chose to join #TeamICM:

"I've chosen to run for ICM because I want to support a very special organisation that works tirelessly to offer help and support to the people of Ipswich. I've had the privilege of being part of the team here for one year, and have been inspired by the creativity and dedication of everyone involved in implementing and growing our projects"
