We are overjoyed our recent fundraising efforts for the Big Give Christmas Appeal have far exceeded our expectations! Together, we rallied and raised a remarkable £7818, surpassing our initial target. Your contributions played an indispensable role in achieving this phenomenal success, and we are immensely grateful for your support.
We also want to thank the Reed Educational Trust Ltd who were our Big Give funding champion and matched each of your donations.
The Reed Educational Trust's primary charitable activity is the provision of high quality education at Reed Business School. They are supporting charities which promote and provide the advancement of education.
So what did we get up to?
Festive Fun at the Christmas Fayre:
Our journey with the Big Give was filled with heartwarming moments, community spirit, and a festive buzz that permeated the air during our Christmas Fayre. It was so much fun, bringing together our community for a day of shared laughter, cake, games, live music and dancing. Oh yes there was dancing - thanks to Romeo and Ipswich Romanian Community and a team of incredible Indian dance troupe Ipswich Marathi Mandal, including a special kids performance, who dazzled us with beautiful traditional dances that left us in awe. Yipeee!
Thanks also to Burlington Church for giving us the space and to New Wolsey Theatre and Eastern Angles for donating theatre tickets to our Raffle.
Pub Quiz and Community Service:
The pub quiz, skillfully hosted by the one and only Ben Brown, brought out the competitive spirit in all of us. A BIG thank you to Ben for being the quiz master and infusing the evening with his infectious energy and an enormous thanks to the lovely team at the Woolpack Pub for all their help in hosting the quiz and being general legends! Ooo and we can't forget a HUGE thanks to Red Rose Chain for donating theatre tickets and Majestic Wine for donating to our raffle. ~We're a lucky bunch to have so much support.
South Street Kids Litter Pick:
Our youngest community members, the South Street Kids, demonstrated their commitment to community service through an epic litter pick. Their dedication to creating a cleaner, more vibrant neighbourhood is a shining example of the positive impact small actions can have on our surroundings.
Gratitude and Looking Forward:
A special nod goes to the remarkable ICM team, whose hard work and dedication behind the scenes made the entire week possible. Their passion for our cause and the community is evident every day in the work they do and we're so lucky to have such a kickass team.
And lastly we wanted to thank everyone who supported, pledged, and participated in this incredible journey. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting the work we do in the community.
