MAKING WAVES YOUTH OPEN MIC

Ever dreamed of performing your music in front of a real crowd? Looking for a place to test out your lyrics, jam with other artists, or just soak up some seriously good vibes? Making Waves – Youth Open Mic is here for you.

Hosted at The Smokehouse in Ipswich, the project is giving 14–25 year olds the chance to step into the spotlight, share their sounds, and connect with other young creatives.

WHAT IS AN OPEN MIC?
At an open mic everyone in the room has the opportunity to get up on stage. Whether you’re establishing a music career or have never performed before in your life, you write your own songs or want to perform a cover. It’s an opportunity to get performance experience, build connections, and grow your confidence.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?
The project is open to anyone aged 14-25. No experience is needed, and you don’t need to sign up. All are welcome, just show up!

WHEN/WHERE?
Join us at The Smokehouse, South Street Studios, Ipswich, IP1 3NU on every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6-9pm for a FREE open mic session.
