WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are excited to start a new art project with Art Eat Events. Together, we will paint a mural on the outside wall of Westgate House, our building.

The mural will be bright, colourful, and full of ideas from our learners and young people.

We are lucky enough to work with French artist, Atma.

Everyone who takes part will help decide what it looks like. Families are welcome to join the workshops.

In the workshops, you can share your ideas with the artist. The artist will then make one big design from everyone’s ideas. This design will be painted on our building so everyone can see it.

If you want to take part please fill out this form HERE or let Anjali know.

Part of the Wild Walls Trail

Our mural will be part of next year’s Wild Walls Trail. This is an art trail around Ipswich with big artworks and murals. Public art like this makes our town look more alive, more welcoming, and more creative.

Why It’s Important

Mural art has a unique power. It’s public, it’s accessible, and it’s a direct reflection of the community it lives in. By making this project participant-led, we’re ensuring it’s not just about what goes on the wall, but about who shapes it.

This is about YOUR voice, YOUR representation, and YOUR ownership and creating something that everyone who took part can be proud to point to and say, “I helped make that.”

Assistant Artist Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Artist to help with the project. This is a good chance for someone to work with a professional artist and our community.
